Northern Stainless utilizes MAGMA5 simulation software to ensure our cast components are fully optimized for the rigors of heavy industry applications. MAGMA5 is a comprehensive and effective simulation tool we utilize to improve casting quality and reduce costs and lead time. The software is designed to simulate the filling and solidification of the casting in the mold. Our level 3 technician evaluates the results for more than just porosity. Velocity, turbulence, and air entrapment are just a few of the criteria we take into account when designing gating systems that are unique each individual project.
