Argon Purging
Our use of argon purging systems improves the purity of our steel alloy melt by reducing unwanted metallic elements. During the argon purging process a porous plug is placed at the bottom of the furnace. The pores in the plug allow gas to flow into the liquid metal while preventing any leakage from occurring. Argon gas is then bubbled through the pores helping to filter out inclusions.
